Nothing to see here, just two former teachers with great new jobs
When I started my teaching career fresh out of school, I was fit, energized, and ready to inspire the next generation.
… Two years later, I was stressed, tired, and overweight, trying not to cry in front of a class full of 30 hormonal teens.
I didn’t know what to do. I had no back-up plan. Teaching was all I was trained for and all I’d ever pictured for my future.
Little did I know that the challenging, demanding career of teaching would prepare me for almost any job I could possibly want… I just didn’t know what words to use to get me there.
Well, guys, I found the words. I got myself out and started a career, and I’ve helped a few more teachers over the years — including my husband! — start over and start fresh in a new non-teaching career.
And there are few things I believe more strongly than that you have everything you need to get into a new career of your own.
The high school history teacher? Yes, you!
The elementary school reading prep teacher? Yes, you!
It may take some education, it may take some ingenuity and hard work, but there is absolutely NOTHING limiting you to a role in the classroom.
Explore my site, read the eBook, and connect with former teachers in the LinkedIn group to find out what life after teaching could look like for you.
